What I'm Up To
Being Pensive
Adding a year to my age naturally had me reflecting on life and everything around me. Aliff has also been the same, more so from the recent loss of his mother and the more sudden one of our friend in music. My birthday and Aliff's are just over a month apart, so it's been extra pensive all around.
I'm normally not so spiritually attuned, but I've had an unshakeable feeling that we are on the cusp of big changes, though I don't know what they will be. I'm sure that this all sounds vague at best, but vague is exactly how it feels at the moment.
One actual thing that has changed in our surroundings is that a nearby plot of barely-legal open air night market stalls has been relocated into their own new building. Which will likely become abandoned in due time, because of course it was that crowded, stuffy, unclean, and daringly roofless vibe that people liked. For years, the patrons of the place had been a nuisance to residents like us who actually live in the area, especially during certain festive seasons when they came in droves and created traffic standstills. Aliff fears that they might build yet another condo on the vacated land, but I would take that over the market.
As for music activities, I'm not sure how accessible the link is, but we managed to do a home recording on our electrics.
