Layout Change

I drafted something quite colourful, but I need to learn to admit that I like dull colours. The thing I'm most excited to try is hyphens: auto with justified text after setting lang. It reminds me of the newspaper articles that my mum used to write, which I'd been searching up archives of online, and this gives me a little joy. I may change it back to default at some point.

Combatting Static Electricity

Despite living in a very humid environment, I'm prone to generating static. Polyester or synthetic clothing will cling to me uncomfortably and I'd always get a small shock from closing the car door. For the clothing, I can lessen the effect by adding an inner layer (even if it's also synthetic—the two seem to cancel each other out) and, following some online tips, I'm cultivating a new habit of touching a metal part of the car while getting out. The car thing has worked remarkably well so far; no more shocks.

I got to play with my SIL's kittens, and they are as cute and soft as any fluffy-floof animal. I grew up with common house cats, so it strikes me how much gentler and more delicate these purebreeds are. The main subject in the photo is not even properly in focus, but I still like it.
